My twin sister and I got in a few mini fights but managed to refrain from any explosions or ass kickings. Having an identical twin sister is pretty tough. We've been hanging out since before we were born, there's really nowhere to hide. We love each other dearly, but man, we know how to piss each other off. I don't think it's normal to have somebody so close to you. It was important for our mental health to separate and grow into individuals. I think identical twins that do everything together all their lives are seriously creepy.
How can it possibly be December already?
I'm back in Tokyo in less than two weeks! Nobody misses me anymore. Only D-girl responded to my "I'm coming home!" email (>_<).
I have been gone almost six months. That's a long time.
My twin sister is coming today with her cat allergic boyfriend!
Their bedroom has been cleaned from top to bottom, and the door has been shut to keep the cats out.
My mother cooked a pumpkin pie and ginger cake, and made some Japanese dishes.
Should be fun. I hope my sister hasn't forgotten about bringing all my stuff up with her.
It just doesn't occur to my aunt that the world shouldn't bend over backwards for her convenience. She needs to learn that lesson some day. It's such an obvious lesson, it's just staring her right in the face, but she just doesn't see it.
I guess that's true for all of us. What's my lesson? I know it's staring me right in the face, but I just can't see it either.
I don't think me and my twin sister look that much alike. We are technically identical, but we grew into different looking people.
But today we (unintentionally) scared my twin sister's roommate!
I hadn't seen Ayana in awhile so I went to say "hi." She gave me a weird look and asked me what happened. I thought she was talking about the burns on my face (which look much better btw), but then my twin sister came into the room and she screamed. She thought I was my sister, and was wondering why I had dyed my hair all weird.
That hasn't happened to us in awhile. The last time was a few years ago when a random guy called me by my sister's name in a Shinjuku electronics store. I explained to him I was her twin sister, and he listened but freaked out the whole time and kept looking me up and down.
You can tell people that you're a twin all day, but they forget unless they actually see you together with your twin sister.
Anyways, Ayana (sister's roommate) isn't exactly ecstatic about leaving the good old US-of-A. Mostly because it isn't her choice -- her visa wasn't renewed. But it's kind of a good thing after all, because sometimes when the shit's kicked, it's kicked, and you've just got to move on. Otherwise you end up one of those sad people who never do anything with their lives.
And that's one of my mottos. Know when the shit's kicked and move on!
So I haven't really danced in...I can't even bring myself to say how long because it's embarrassing. I took some classes from Dancer Girl, but that really hardly counts. The other students were little teenyboppers who stared at me because I was old and half white, and they ended up looking at me like an assistant teacher and copying my moves, even though half the time they were wrong! Dancer Girl was like "why do you guys keep doing that?" to her students after they learned something wrong by copying me!
Plus it just reinforced how out of shape I was. Jayzus.
And I am out of shape. I hardly had the healthiest lifestyle over the past few years.
But guess what, guess what? I'm taking a whole bunch of dance classes with my twin sister starting this week! Modern and Ballet, and Yoga (which is at 6:30am!!!!).
It's going to be a humbling, humiliating, tough experience. It will also hopefully be fun and awesome. And I hope we don't end up fighting too much (me and my twin sister).
Baby Sister has come back from Cambodia. The three sisters are united once again. We were together in January, so that's twice in one year. But sometimes we aren't together for years and years at a time, so this is a very special thing.
She says she's moving in with Mr. Korea. Great. On top of everything else, he has a big labrador retriever, and my sister has a cat (this guy). How are they supposed to coexist? I feel bad for the dog (seiji kat's a tough guy).
She also took back her phone, and her car. Which means I am minus a phone and my twin sister is minus a car.
She had a dress made for me. It kicks ass. Plus I got some scarves, which also kick ass.
We ate too much and we sisters even shared a pitcher of beer. Which means I'm about ready to pass out. How on earth did I drink for a living before?
